August in Nador: How Hotels, Restaurants and Cafés Can Catch the Summer Search Wave

Searches for hotels in Nador grow from 1,300 to 12,100 a month in August. A month-by-month plan so your business is found before the season starts.

Every summer, Nador fills up. Families from the diaspora come home, visitors arrive by ferry and plane, and the Corniche and Marchica get busy. Google sees it coming months before you do.

Here is what the search data shows, and a simple plan to make sure your hotel, restaurant or café is the one people find.

The summer wave, in numbers

Monthly Google searches in Morocco, quietest month versus August:

That is 9 times more people looking for a hotel and 5 times more looking for a restaurant. And these numbers only count searches made from Morocco. Many visitors search from Europe before they travel, so the real wave is bigger.

Why most Nador businesses miss it

When a visitor searches “restaurant nador” on a phone, Google shows a map with a handful of places first. The places that appear are the ones with:

  • a complete Google Business Profile (category, hours, phone, photos),
  • recent reviews,
  • a website that confirms what the profile says.

Many good restaurants and guesthouses in Nador have none of this, or have a profile with old hours and no photos. They are invisible at the exact moment people are ready to book.

A month-by-month plan

April: get found

  • Create or claim your Google Business Profile. Pick the most precise category (“Seafood restaurant”, not just “Restaurant”).
  • Add at least 10 real photos: the room, the food, the terrace, the view, the entrance from the street.
  • Check your address pin on the map. Visitors who do not know Nador rely on it.

May: give people a reason to choose you

  • Put your menu or room prices on your website, in French and Arabic at least. Add English if you get foreign guests.
  • Add a WhatsApp button. In Morocco, most bookings start with a message, not a form.
  • Make sure the page opens fast on a phone. Visitors on mobile data will not wait.

June: be ready before the rush

  • Update your summer opening hours on Google and on your website.
  • Post your summer offers (a set menu, a family room, airport pickup if you offer it).
  • Ask last summer’s regulars for a Google review.

July and August: answer fast

  • Reply to WhatsApp messages and Google questions the same day.
  • Reply to every review, good or bad. Future guests read your answers.
  • Keep photos fresh: a new photo of the terrace at sunset does more than any ad.

September: keep the momentum

  • Searches drop, but they do not stop. Locals and business travellers still search all year.
  • Thank your summer guests and ask for reviews while the visit is still fresh.

What a good summer page includes

A hotel or restaurant website that converts visitors in Nador usually has:

  1. A first screen with what you are, where you are and how to contact you.
  2. Real photos, not stock images.
  3. Prices or a menu, so people do not have to ask.
  4. A map and directions from the port, the airport or the city centre.
  5. A WhatsApp button and a phone number that work on a phone.
  6. The page in the languages your guests speak.
