Google Business Profile for Nador Businesses: A Step-by-Step Guide
How to put your shop, restaurant, clinic or hotel in Nador on Google Maps: create the profile, verify it, fill it properly and collect reviews.
When someone in Nador searches “dentiste nador” or “restaurant nador”, the first thing Google shows is a map with a few businesses. Those businesses are there because they have a Google Business Profile. It is free, and for most local businesses it brings more customers than a website alone.
Here is how to set it up properly.
Step 1: Create or claim your profile
- Go to business.google.com and sign in with a Google account you will keep (not a staff member’s personal account).
- Search for your business name. If it already appears on Google Maps, claim it. If not, choose to add a new business.
- Enter your business name exactly as it appears on your sign. Do not add keywords like “best restaurant Nador” to the name: Google can suspend profiles for that.
Step 2: Choose the right category
The category is the most important setting. Pick the most precise one:
- “Seafood restaurant” instead of “Restaurant”
- “Dental clinic” instead of “Doctor”
- “Guest house” instead of “Hotel” if that is what you are
You can add secondary categories later for other things you offer.
Step 3: Location and service area
- If customers come to you (shop, café, clinic), add your address and check the pin on the map. In Nador, many streets are hard to find, so place the pin precisely on your entrance.
- If you go to customers (plumber, electrician, cleaning, delivery), hide your address and set a service area: Nador, Selouane, Beni Ensar, Al Aroui, Zeghanghane, and the places you really cover.
Step 4: Verify your business
Google needs to confirm the business is real. Depending on your business, it will offer one or more options: a phone call or SMS, an email, a short video showing your sign, your premises and that you have access to them, or a postcard.
The video is the most common option today. Film in one take: the street and your sign, then the inside, then something only the owner can show (opening the shop, the cash register, tools of your trade).
Step 5: Fill in everything
A complete profile ranks better and converts better. Add:
- Hours, including special hours for Ramadan, holidays and summer.
- Phone number that someone actually answers.
- Website link (your own website, not only a Facebook page).
- Description (up to 750 characters): what you do, where, and for whom. Write it in the language your customers use, and mention Nador naturally.
- Products or services with prices if possible.
- Photos: at least 10. Outside with the sign (so people recognise you from the street), inside, your team, your products. Update them a few times a year.
Step 6: Get reviews, and answer them
Reviews are what customers read first, and they help you rank.
- Copy your review link from the profile and send it on WhatsApp to happy customers right after their visit.
- Print it as a QR code on the table, the counter or the receipt.
- Reply to every review. Thank good ones in one sentence. For bad ones, stay calm, apologise for the problem and explain what you changed. Future customers judge you by your answers.
Never buy fake reviews. Google removes them and can penalise your profile.
Step 7: Keep it alive
- Change your hours before Ramadan, Eid and summer.
- Add new photos every season.
- Answer the questions people ask on your profile.
- Check it once a month: anyone can suggest edits to your profile, and Google sometimes accepts them.
Profile plus website: why you need both
Your Google profile gets you seen. Your website gets you chosen: it shows your full menu, rooms, prices, photos and a WhatsApp button, and it tells Google that your business is real and active. In Nador, where summer visitors compare several places before they come, the businesses with both win.
